LABOUR CONFERENCE PR CAMPAIGN FUND-RAISER: TARGET £900
With Labour conference just around the corner it’s time to ramp up the campaign…. Since the first lockdown in March 2020 (and by necessity), GET PR DONE! has conducted a regular and quite intensive online campaign making the case for propositional representation.
Memes, blogs, videos, ZOOM sessions with guests such as Clive Lewis and New Zealand Greens: we have done our very best to “work the digital waterfront” for many months.
We plan to continue this work. But as the pandemic lockdown lifts — and, of course, we plan to be 100% safe — new possibilities are opening up for masked and socially-distanced “face to face” campaigning. (Such work recently recommenced at May Day rallies of trade unionists in Bristol, Manchester and Chesterfield.)
We are drawing up a rota of accessible events between now and the Labour Party conference in Sept. 2021. The first “biggee” is the Peoples’ Assembly march and rally in London on 26 June.
To effectively step up our campaigning over the next four months, we need banners, pennants, lots of leaflets, sandwich board signs, a simple brochures on PR (like the one here) not to mention sponsored posts, FB advertising, and all the other social media work that is the backbone of our campaign.
We have no large institutional financial backers. We do not conduct monthly email appeals for money. Instead, when we need funds for particular campaigns, we reach out to people like you, people who want to: GET PR DONE!
